Xplorate is honoured to announce our selection as a finalist in the **2025 WA Innovators of the Year (WAIOTY) Awards**, under the **Woodside Energy Platinum Award** category.
This award recognises innovation that is transforming how energy is produced, delivered, and managed across Australia. For Xplorate, it marks a moment of validation for our work delivering real-time intelligence and operational excellence across critical energy infrastructure.
---
# Why It Matters
From our base in Perth, Xplorate has built a reputation for combining long-range aerial inspections with rapid intelligence delivery. Our solutions provide energy companies with clear, actionable insights—enabling safer, more efficient operations across pipelines, facilities, and remote assets.
Recent milestones include:
- **550 km Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) pipeline inspection:** The first of its kind in Australia—and one of the longest in the world—this operation exemplifies the shift from manual inspection to smart, autonomous oversight of critical infrastructure.
- **First shore to Island BVLOS Energy Asset inpection:** The first BVLOS operation in Australia to successfully fly from mainland over and offshore island inspecting energy assets.
- **Emission and Safety Impact:** We’ve helped quantify offshore methane leaks, supported environmental compliance, and reduced risk exposure for field teams—delivering real-world value for operators.
These projects reflect a broader trend in industry: a move toward scalable, technology-enabled operations that reduce emissions, improve safety, and unlock efficiency.
---
# What’s Next
As part of our finalist status, Xplorate will participate in the 2025 WAIOTY Accelerator Program, culminating in a formal Awards Gala on **3 November 2025 at Crown Perth**.
We’re proud to represent WA innovation on this platform and thank the WAIOTY judging panel and sponsors—particularly Woodside Energy—for the recognition.

# Quote from CEO Ronnie Fahy
*“We’re humbled to be recognised in this way. This isn’t just a reflection of our technology—it’s about the incredible team that has pushed hard to deliver real results for clients in one of the world’s most complex industries. From emissions verification to long-range inspections, our work is proving what’s possible. We thank the judges for seeing the impact—and the potential—of what we’re building.”*
---
# Final Thoughts
This nomination signals Xplorate’s rising impact not only across Western Australia but globally. It’s another step on our mission to lead the way in sustainable, data-informed energy operations.
Stay tuned as we prepare for the awards and continue delivering real-world innovation.
